MOON CURSER VINEYARDS

Osoyoos, British-Columbia, Canada

Twisted Tree Winery had a problem: nobody seemed to notice them, despite original and award-wining wines. Their name and branding simply did not stand out from the consumer standpoint.

This all changed when Bernie Hadley-Beauregard renamed it Moon Curser Vineyards, celebrating the unique location of the vineyards by the US border and its troubled history.

During the Gold Rush, American miners would sneak back at night into their country, avoiding duty on the harvested gold.  All would go well, until the moon would shine its light on the illicit activities... eventually making them curse at it!

The whole branding experience revolves around this story guaranteeing instant recognition and allowing Moon Curser to sell out of its vintages in no time. Consumers are also inspired to try more of their unique varietals, confident of the quality they will find.

The dark side has never tasted so good!
