Marsala, Colour of the year according to Pantone

Every year Pantone release a new official colour, 2015 here we go: Marsala it is!

I find it an interesting and slightly unexpected choice, for some reason I was expecting something a bit bolder and brighter! But since it was inspired by fortified wine and the warmth of decadent food, I would say it's right up my alley!

Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.

Note: Marsala should not be confused with Masala! The first one is an Italian town in the South of Sicily, Italy, while the second is a yummy indian dish... I know I was confused for a second!
